Curious what a brand shoot with me looks like from start to finish? Let’s take a peek behind the scenes of a recent session with the amazing team at Unicorn Marketing.
The Vision:
Hope Mikal is the Founder and CEO of Unicorn Marketing Co., a branding and marketing studio for creative entrepreneurs and small to medium-sized businesses across Canada. She wanted brand photos featuring her growing team that felt natural, fun, and confident. She needed team photos & solo photos for the company’s website, Instagram, and online marketing.
The Prep:
Before the shoot, we discussed her content strategy, brand colors, and what stories she wanted to tell. We chose a studio that felt more like a blank canvas since her brand features many bright colours. From there we discussed outfit ideas, and created a shot list with key moments: new headshots and lifestyle shots of each team member, creating a company mood board to be featured, the full team together, and confetti portaits!
The Shoot Day:
We spent 2 hours creating magic in a downtown Vancouver studio. I directed the team through flattering poses, candid moments, and product shots. The energy was fun, relaxed, and aligned.
The Result:
She walked away with over 75 images she’s now using on Instagram, her website, and online marketing.
