How to Plan a Successful Branding Shoot: My Exact Process

Planning a brand shoot isn’t just about showing up and smiling, it’s a strategic process designed to tell your story.


Here’s exactly how I help clients plan a successful branding session:


Step 1: Discovery Call

We hop on a quick chat to make sure we’re a good fit and talk about your business goals, content needs, and vision.


Step 2: Brand Questionnaire

You’ll fill out a questionnaire that helps me understand your brand voice, audience, and photo usage needs (social, web, email, etc.).


Step 3: Custom Session Guide with Moodboard & Shot List

I create a custom moodboard and suggested shot list so we’re aligned on style and content before the shoot day. Check out a Sample Session Guide so you have a better idea of what to expect! Every guide is customized to suit your specific business needs.

 

 

Step 4: Creative Call

We’ll set up a 30 minute creative call to go through the Session Guide together and make any creative changes if needed. During the call we’ll also dive deep into props, outfits, location, and session specific details so that when the day comes you’re feeling excited and aligned with the vision!


Step 5: Shoot Day!

We’ll shoot a mix of posed and candid moments. I’ll guide you through it all so you feel confident and relaxed.


Step 6: Gallery Delivery

Within 1 week, you’ll receive a beautiful sneak peek gallery of high-res, ready-to-use brand photos that you can use right away! These will give you a taste of what your full gallery will look plus if there were moments that you need priority edited (let me know at your session!) this is when you will receive them!


Within 4 weeks of your session you’ll receive your full gallery of images, aligned perfectly with your content strategy.
